Itis clear that several studies have been carried out with the aim ofinvestigating the relationship existing between intelligence andcreativity. From these investigations, diverse results have beenobtained, where most authors alludes to the fact that creativityencompasses intelligent construct. In this paper, two notableobjectives can clearly be seen. The first objective is to identifythe relationship existing between general intelligence and creativityand the other one is studying the relationship which is manifestedbetween MI (Multiple Intelligences) and creativity. From the resultsobtained, it is clear that, there exists a low relationship betweenintelligence and creativity, although this changes significantlydepending on the way in which one conceptualizes intelligenceconstruct. In a more elaborate way, one can conclude that greaterrelationship can be seen between multiple intelligences andcreativity. Further, it is worth noting that when there is arelationship between creativity and IQ, the threshold theory is notupheld. It is based on this wide knowledge that this article becamekey pillar in carrying out my research.

Thisparticular volume brings together various authorities with the aim ofexamining the most appropriate and dominant employed in testingeducating youths in the current times. In this article, there are theexemplifications of this kind of testing procedures in differentuniversity based programs. The first part of this book candidlyquestions of political ramifications of findings that are emotionallyloaded regarding differences in individuals. The second part of thebook explores issues which are known in regard to educating childrenwho are gifted and the reasons why educators often fails in regardto educating such children. It is based on this wide knowledge thatthis book comes in handy for this particular research as well as forother professionals in the area of psychology and education.

Blum,J. M. (1978). Pseudoscienceand Mental Ability: The Origins and Fallacies of the IqControversy.Monthly Review Press.

Thisis a dissertation by Blum in the field of sociology at StanfordUniversity based on United States’ history of psychometricmovement. According to Blum, he is openly against the thinking ofmeritocracy. From his perspective, IQ is just a pseudoscience that islargely accepted by the stakeholders in the sector of education.Further, he notes that, meritocratic ideologies arose as the societytried to reconcile substantive equality with formal equality. One canlearn that, psychological testing is a simple way of handling theinferior stocks as the whole movement of psychometry is withinEugenicist’s biological reductionistic model.

Jackson,N. E. (1977). Problemsof Intellectually Advanced Children in the Public Schools: ClinicalConfirmation of Parents` Perceptions.

Thispaper establishes the diagnostic and counseling service for thosekids who are intellectually advanced, and all is in combination withlongitudinal studies of kids having such abilities. From the 24cases handled in this particular study involving those kids having3-11 years, there was the agreement to the fact that parents to thechildren who are intellectually advanced, there is the concernregarding an education system best fitted for their children. Fromthe study, achievement test scores indicated there was a mean of 3.5years above the real level of grade. There was the generalexpectation of maladjustment and boredom from the parents to thegifted children in preschool. Other parents reported frustrations astheir children reported lack of any notable challenge in school.

Inthis book, scientific findings regarding what IQ entails is offered.The book intensively built on the surveys as well as opinions of thesociologists, and psychologists from various parts of the world.Further, there is reporting and analysis of IQ by press between 1969and 1983. In this study, more than 86 science editors and 207journalists were involved in this study. From the study, it is clearthat IQ test have fallen into disfavor in the public domain as far asdefining intelligence is concerned.

Maroldo,G. K. (1975). MultidimensionalScaling of the Cognitive Control Principle-EquivalenceRange andImplications for Reading Comprehension.

Itis notable that, in the recent times, there has been raised interestin establishing ways of evaluating and promoting structuralknowledge. This is mainly the idea of how knowledge, principles andevents are interrelated. Based on the above reasoning, this researchby Georgette K. Maroldo investigated the relationship existingbetween reading a comprehension, equivalence range and IQ. The studyalso aimed at categorizing styles via varimax rotation (VR) andmultidimensional scaling (MS) analysis. From the results, it wasclear that, a positive correlation existed between readingcomprehension to two ER measures in regard to female students havingpoor reading skills. VR and MS disclosed same way of categorizationin terms of styles adopted by average and good readers, although boththese approaches were different for poor readers.

Fromthe studies recently carried out regarding functional neuroimaging,it has been shown that there exists differences in terms of the waysin which brains are activated between adolescences who aremathematically gifted as compared to their controls. The main aim ofthis study conducted by Francisco J Navas-Sánchez among others, wasto establish the relationship existing between microstructure, IQ,and mathematical giftness of white matter tracts, where analysis wasbased on FA(Fractional anisotropy). From the experimental and controlgroup, it was clear that there was a positive correlation between IQwith FA, a factor which greatly supports the notion that for highercapabilities, efficient information transfer must exist between thehemispheres. It is also worth noting that for those adolescents whowere gifted in mathematics, they had a high FA value, which wasadjusted for IQ. This was in white matter tracts connecting parietaland basal ganglia zone.

Thisbook, authored by Sternberg, Robert J. in 1994 illuminates themysteries which exist in human minds as well as the myriad ways onhow both animals and humans gather and use information. The mainquestions which are answered in this great book mainly pertains whatis attributable to the challenge of illiteracy as well as what IQentails.
