Theuse of Smartphone can mostly hinder real human interaction. Mostpeople get stuck responding to calls and text messages such that theyhave no time to interact one on one with others (Dunlop et. al,2013). As a result, the younger generation prefers interacting withpeople online due to some socialization challenges that affect theirone on one interaction. Due to constant concentration on theSmartphone, people get involved in minor accidents that aremanageable through keenness (Shelly et. al, 2008). It is a source ofbreaches in privacy and security since most people keep personalinformation in the Smartphone. The personal information may lead toembarrassments.

ASmartphone is mostly used for calling, sending messages as well asaccessing the internet. In most cases, the calls are convenient asinformation that requires an urgent response is passed despite thedistance (Ling &amp Campbell, 2011). On the other hand, the textmessages are also used to give less urgent information. They are alsoefficient in calling for help in cases of emergency (Dunlop et al,2013). The internet is also applicable for advertisements as well asaccessing other information. Ads using the messages are rarely takenpositively as the smartphones are assumed to be private devices ofcommunication.

Anemail is an instant form of communication. One of its majoradvantages is speed. Despite the fact that also phones have speed,emails can attach files and presentations to clarify information. Theservice is available, and the information is readily accessible forreference (Guffey &amp Loewy, 2010). It carries a vast load ofinformation in soft copy hence one does not require a large space tokeep the information. The mode of communication is also costeffective as one requires an internet connection to send and receiveemails. Apart from the internet connection, sending the email isfree, and one can send videos, documents, files and presentations(Richardson et al, 2010).

Disadvantagesof using the email as a form of communication

Incase one misses the correct address very sensitive information getsinto the wrong hands. Emails are also subject to hacking and hackerscan access the information meant to be private (Clutterbuck &ampHussain, 2009). The use of emails does not have a direct voiceresponse hence there is no emotional attachment to the mode ofcommunication. That way, it is subject to misinterpretation. It isalso a challenging mode of communication as there is no guarantee therecipient will read the emails. The recipient requires Internetconnections to receive the email and may not access it if there isnone. The emails can also spread viruses to someone`s computer(Dunlop et al, 2013).

Theemails are appropriate modes of communication with the instructors ina school setup. One can send emails as it retains a professionaldistance from the instructor and the learners (Ling &amp Campbell,2011). That way, one does not receive destructing calls from thestudents. The assignments can also be submitted through emails, andthe instructor acquires a soft copy that is easy to cross-checkinstances of plagiarism. Since an email can accommodate extensiveinformation, all learners can send their assignments and receivefeedback without the requirement of large space to keep hard copiesof assignments.

Socialmedia is a quick and easy method of accessing a large population.Communication of this kind requires mobile applications that oneneeds to log in and interact with others (Issa et. al, 2016). Mostfeatures are free of charge hence accessible. The applications arenot limited to geographical regions. Hence, one can interact withothers across the world (Ling &amp Campbell, 2011). The interactionbrings together people of similar interest, hence attracts help fromdiverse ideas and opinions. Many people can chat at the same time onthe within the same group as others access the information. It is aperfect mode of advertising and posting information meant for publicconsumption (Guffey &amp Loewy, 2010).

Disadvantagesof using the email as a form of communication

Thesocial media as a mode of communication lacks a personal touch. Mostinformation lacks privacy since once posted others can easily accessit. The information meant for private access is subject to hackingand also viruses can be transferred from one gadget to the other(Clutterbuck &amp Hussain, 2009). One consumes a lot of time in thesocial media as it requires a lot of commitment to access informationand keep in touch with others. The social media has no restrictionsof age hence young children can access information that compromisestheir moral values.

Peoplewith the same interest can form groups where they can discusschallenging life matters. New ideas and opinions are accessible hencepeople get informed (Richardson et al, 2010). It also forms the basisof interactions as people can communicate despite geographicaldistances (Dunlop et al, 2013). Concepts not understood can be postedand those with free information help in clarifying concepts. It is aperfect way of connecting with others as well as getting updates.
