Theaim of this summary discussion is to find the importance of music inmass advertisement. Music is an important element in massadvertising. Popular music finds its place in the general populace.Therefore, to connect with the clients, most companies have chosen toutilize popular music to advertise their products and/or services.Most importantly, the advertisers will carefully select the musicthat best connects with the product (s) and clients’ desires. Inthe long run, such advertisers target to create a brand and along-term partnership with their clientele. However, the lyricalaspect of the music should be perfectly relating to the brand or aspecific product, so as to avoid misinterpretation of theadvertiser’s objectives. In this literature-based research study,the relevance of lyrics to advertisement is studied (Anisimovaet al., 2014).

Ingeneral, music creates a platform that taps a specific sub-culturethrough consumer attention. The different aspects of the music haveto be congruent with consumer expectations because the audio-visualmessages to impart certain attitudes and purchase intentions to theclients. Therefore, a brand recognition can be created once theconsumers have established trust and confidence with its supplier.The results of the study were purely evident, in that, lyrics arevery important in playing an integral part between consumers’emotions and desires. Combined with the visual aspect of the ads,lyrics evoke certain emotions that relate to the message beingpassed. Lyrics are used as a connection between the visual charactersand the particular brand. So, lyrics help to explain the realsignificance of purchasing the product and establishing arelationship with the brand. The research used other secondarysources to obtain information related to audio-visual advertisement.For example, several TV-ads from Levi were collected from variouspublic sources. In conclusion, it is worth to say that music andlyrics are effective brand triggers that help in brand knowledgehence brand communication (Anisimovaet al., 2014).
