Theadoption and implementation of HR strategies, there has been anincreasing demand for employee improved environment within anorganization. This has, in turn, led to the identification ofstrategies which improves employee functionality and productivitywithin an organization. The focus hence being about fighting thedistracting factors such as stress, poor communication, and poorstyles of leadership, lack of motivation among many others. Stressmanagement in workplaces is regarded as identified strategies,techniques, and psychotherapies that are aimed towards identifying,and controlling a person’s stress level, with the main focus beingon improving the employee/worker functioning and productivity(Akanji, 2015).

Stressoriented issues have been evaluated to cost organizations massivevalue in terms of money through accidents, low productivity, andabsenteeism among the employees. As a result, the initiative tomanage the employee stress has become an important aspect not onlyfor an organization but for Individuals. This has, in turn, led tothe implementation of varying stress management strategies (Blumberga&amp Austruma, 2015). Such as giving the employees autonomy as wellas creating of fair work environments. However, with different stresscausing factors which differ from one organization to the other,every organization HR management team focuses on the workingstrategies towards stress management, identification and control(Johansen &amp Cadmus, 2015).

Accordingto Vijay &amp Vazirani (2011), in order to have a successful stressmanagement program within an organization, the primary issue is toidentify the causing factor behind the stress among the employees, orin an organization. Stress management initiatives entail three keystages, identification of causing factor, the establishment of waysto reduce or control it, and finally learning or adopting healthyways for relieving stress, and reducing its negative effects (Saleemet al, 2015). Some of the approaches that have been devised oradopted by organizations towards stress management in the workplaceinclude the Redesigning of Jobs, Meeting the Employee Demands,Setting of Clear and Achievable Goals, Role Negotiation as well asEstablishment of Social Support Systems (Soylu &amp Campbell, 2012).

Inconclusion, stress management strategies have been adopted withinorganizations focusing on effective employee management as well asimproving their productivity. This has, in turn, led to theapplication of varying strategies towards this initiative, as theemployee remains key elements of an organization’s success. Withincreasing menace as a result of stress in the workplace, stressmanagement has, in turn, become key to effective and positiveperformance not only for the employees but also the entireorganization.
